Clinics and Services

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening

An annual clinic is held every April for patients eligible for screening.

Adult Social Care

Gloucestershire County Council helps you find your own solutions to stay independent, or may offer you some short-term support to get you back on your feet, staying by your side until you are confidently living an independent life. For those who need a plan for their long-term care and support, the council works with partners and providers to offer the highest quality of support that it can.

The role of adult social care at the county council is to make sure adults (aged 18 or over) and their carers (including young carers) who need care or support in their daily lives can get the help and advice they need to live as independently as possible. Care and support can be a mixture of practical, financial and emotional support for people who need extra help to manage their lives and be independent.

Patients at Price’s Mill Surgery can self-refer to Adult Social Care by visiting www.forms.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Immunisations

Childhood Immunisations

We offer all routine childhood immunisations to our patients. Invitations are sent out centrally when your child is due for these but you may also receive reminders from the practice. Nasal flu vaccination is also offered annually to two and three year olds.

Information about childhood immunisations can be found on the NHS Choices website or through speaking to the nurse or GP in the surgery.

Should you not wish your child to have these immunisations, we will require written confirmation of your decision by printing and completing our Child Immunisation form and returning it to the surgery.

Flu and Pneumonia

Clinics for seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccination are held annually from September. Dates for these clinics are posted in the practice reception area, widely advertised in the local community and posted on the practice web site. If you have missed a clinic, please contact the practice.

Patients with asthma, diabetes, heart, kidney or chest diseases and also patients over 65 or immunocompromised are encouraged to attend. Carers and healthcare workers are also entitled to be immunised.

Visit the NHS Flu Vaccination pages for further information.

MMR

The MMR vaccine is safe and effective but the discredited headlines of the 1990s have left many teenagers without adequate protection from measles, mumps and rubella (German Measles). If you have children who have missed out on this essential vaccination, please make an appointment.
