Young Carers

Are you under the age of 18 and support someone?

If the answer is yes who supports you?

A Young Carer is someone who is aged 18 or under who has to look after a family member due to a condition, such as a disability, illness, mental health condition, or a drug or alcohol problem.

Many Carers do not see themselves as Carers for different reasons. You may be looking after your grandparents, parents or siblings and at the same time attending school are college.

You are entitled to advice, help and support so please contact the Surgery for more information.

We also recommend visiting the Gloucestershire Young Carers website at http://www.glosyoungcarers.org.uk where you will find a wealth of information specific to young carers in Gloucestershire.

Further information for Carers can be found on our Carers page by clicking here.
